Mr. H. Ashqar is the Operations Director of Lifelong Learning Initiative at KAUST. Hani started at KAUST April 2010. His previous roles included Strategic Operations Director at Government Affairs, Director of University Development, Head of revenue strategy and business development.

He holds a BA in industrial engineering from the University of Central Florida, and followed up with a Master's degree in industrial engineering from the University of South Florida. He has more than 24 years of experience in wide range of executive-level roles: operations, business development, procurement, supply chain, management, finance, and consulting in the Transportation/Logistics and Education sectors. Hani is the Founder and CEO of Vision Consultancy Firm, and is a member of the executive board of Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA), and President and board member of Al Watania Company.
